You have got to be kidding me?

What an amazing week for our Seahawks. We have a group of students in our school who call themselves the "Healthy Challenge Team.” This team of students has spent the last 6 months researching, motivating, and creating avenues and ideas of ways for our student body to become a healthier group of citizens. They have written letters, conducted surveys, made videos, created exercise homework menus, and wrote a grant.
Well, I received a call recently that said they had won 1st place and the $30,000 prize to go with it. It was sponsored by Sports Authority and was made public April 24th.They said that they have never had a grant submitted by students and that the group of judges were so very impressed by the maturity, the complexity, and the "leadership" of these students. They said the work they had done far outweighed that in which adults had submitted. If that just isn't the icing on the cupcake for us at MBI!!!  Leadership works, we love it and we won't live without it. Can you believe it? Great happens here!!!!!!!
