New Student

On November 28th, I was informed that we were getting a new student to our classroom on November 30th.  I was going to be out of the building on the day before and asked the students in my leadership cabinet to get together and plan a welcome for her while I was gone.  When I returned they showed me what they came up with.  They had prepared a welcome poster and a speech to read to our new student about our classroom from their point of view.  It was very welcoming and included what activities we would do on her first day.  We had a class meeting to introduce ourselves and share something that we liked about our school and classroom.
